The 100×100mm square steel post is the largest and strongest option in the square post range. It is the right choice for large gates, heavy-duty commercial fencing and applications where maximum post strength is required.

FPM Building Supplies stocks square steel posts in 100×100mm and a full range of sizes for fencing projects across Victoria.

What Is a 100×100mm Square Steel Post?

A 100×100mm square steel post is a hollow square section (SHS) steel post with a 100mm × 100mm cross-section. It is galvanised for outdoor and in-ground use and provides the greatest strength of any post in the square post range.

When to Use a 100×100mm Post

100×100mm posts are suited to:

• Large residential or commercial gates (double gates, wide single gates)
• Heavy-duty commercial or industrial fencing
• Applications where engineering specifies a 100×100mm section
• Fences subject to significant loads (vehicle impact zones, high-wind areas)
• Feature posts and entrance posts where a substantial visual presence is desired
